Title: Jane Austen Lied to MeAuthor: Jeanette Watts
Expected Publication: June 2022
Genre: Romantic Comedy
~
Dear Diary,
In three years of college, there are seven times my life seemed to suddenly turn into a Jane Austen novel; seven times my life, instead of becoming a romance, turned into a made-for-TV drama.
What am I doing wrong?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Jeanette Watts has written three Jane Austen-inspired novels, two other works of historical fiction, stage melodramas, television commercials, and humorous essays for Kindle Vella.
When she is not writing, she is either dancing, sewing, or walking around in costume at a Renaissance festival talking in a funny accent and offering to find new ladies’ maids for everyone she finds in fashionably-ripped jeans.

GIVEAWAY:
Jeanette Watts will award a $15 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card to a randomly drawn reader via Rafflecopter. Good luck!

Thanks for stopping in! If you check out my book, would you consider going back and leaving a review? Just 2 or 3 sentences would be so helpful!
DeleteThank you so much for hosting me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to have a favorite Jane Austen novel?
ReplyDeleteHey Tracie! My favorite Jane Austen novel tends to be...whichever one I'm reading at the time. It's a bit of a cop out answer, but it's the truth! There's something to love in each of them. Besides Jane Austen Lied to Me, I have also written a modern lesbian retelling of Persuasion (called A Woman's Persuasion) and a retelling of Emma through Jane Fairfax's eyes (called My Dearest Miss Fairfax, my most recent release), so I've definitely spent a fair amount of time with those two novels!

DeleteWhat's your signature alcoholic drink?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the question Jamie! I'm a fan of ordering the cocktail on a menu that sounds the most unique, which is how I came across my absolute favorite - one called "Springtime in Paris"! I always keep the ingredients for it in stock at my house (aka elderflower cordial and pear vodka)! Other than that, I love mules and all things ginger, Raspberry Lambic, non-apple ciders (like pear), and sweet stouts!
DeleteSounds like an enjoyable story.
