Every year, all across the planet, people simply vanish, completely disappear and are never seen again. Some areas of the world are well known for this phenomenon. Infinity's Gateway opens with a very famous incident that took place just after the end of World War II with the United States Navy. The story then jumps to the present day with an unexplainable event that occurs off the coast of Florida, an event that cannot be ignored by the military.
The Navy ship Eclipse and its crew are sent to investigate, but after several days come up empty. Two days before returning to port, the event reoccurs, and the Eclipse is caught up in something it cannot escape. The Eclipse and its crew suddenly find themselves completely isolated, all communication lost, surrounded by a terribly hostile environment where each day is a struggle to survive. Infinity's Gateway is an intense, action packed story of survival, self-reliance, and discovery.

PRAISE:
"Infinity's Gateway is an engaging science fiction thriller with tones of Michael Crichton Tom Clancy. To fans of the science fiction genre, it will feel like an old friend with a surprising, and exciting new makeover." --Joseph Mauceri, Executive Editor, Fearsmag.com.

Author James Parker Interviews His Main Character,
Commander Brett Colton, United States Naval Intelligence,
of INFINITY’S GATEWAY
Mission – Infinity’s Gateway
JAMES PARKER - We truly appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right in. It is my understanding that you and Admiral Fairfax go back a long way.
Brett Colton – It’s been my privilege to have worked with the Admiral on more than one assignment. He’s known my family for many years. Without hesitation I’d say he’s one of the finest command officers in the U.S. military today.
JP – It was during one of those missions when Admiral Fairfax was pretty seriously wounded, is that right?
Colton - Unfortunately, Admiral Fairfax is not one of those armchair officers who leads from behind a desk. Over his career, he has always tried to stay as close to the action as possible. During that particular mission, the people we were up against went after him and he was injured in an explosion. It was close, but I was able to get to him out of there before they got to him.
JP – Where did this take place?
Colton – That’s one of those things I’m not able to talk about.
JP – We completely understand. Let’s turn to your most current mission, Infinity’s Gateway. Why do you think that Admiral Fairfax chose you to join Captain MacKay on the Eclipse? It didn’t sound like the kind of thing you’d be involved in.
Colton – Those are almost the very words I used when the Admiral and I discussed this. Early on I couldn’t find one good reason for my being there. That said the Admiral seems to have a sixth sense about these kinds of things.
JP – This mission did turn out to be far beyond the scope of what anyone could have guessed. Are you saying that the Admiral can sense these kinds of things coming before they happen?
Colton – By no means am I saying that. It’s just that over the years, he has had so many strange and unusual things come across his desk. Because of that, he’s developed a sort of insight as to when things might turn out to be much more complicated than they first appear.
JP – When you say ‘complicated’, what do you mean?
Colton – Let’s just say that Roswell was not the first incident we’ve had of that nature. We continue to come across things that defy explanation. These strange, unexplainable incidents happen far more often than you would imagine.
JP – That is absolutely fascinating!
Colton – I’m sure your readers will be interested to know this little fun fact. It was the Infinity’s Gateway mission that played a large part in the motivation to create another arm of our military, Space Force.
JP – How much detail can you share with us on that?
Colton – For now I’d refer you to the write up on Infinity’s Gateway. It has to be the most unique and dangerous mission I’ve ever been involved in.
JP – We will do that. I know that your time with us is limited. Thank you again for taking the time to talk with us today. I’m confident we’ll be hearing more about Infinity’s Gateway as time goes on.

Every now and then author James S. Parker has a vision. And, when he does, he sees people and places off in the misty distance. Sometimes these visions are futuristic and filled with danger. Most often they are mystical, with good and evil and a cast of characters who beautifully represent both.
In his high school years James experienced a spine-tingling brush with the supernatural. That single event - complete with the sound of heavy footsteps and an invisible visitor - etched forever in his mind the idea that life is much more mysterious than we oftentimes admit -- that the spiritual world is all around us, and that its impact on us cannot be denied.
Though he sees through a glass darkly, he writes as though he has been granted a glimpse into the unknown, one that has informed his novels and their powerful stories of good and evil and the struggles we all face every day to assure that good wins.
Infinity's Gateway, the first book in a fascinating sci-fi adventure trilogy, is his latest work. James lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Margaret. He is available for in-person and online book club visits.
