~
The elves have come down from the sky in their ships, their countenances full of light and their bodies, power. But they rule over us humans with iron fists, and without mercy.
Vampires stalk the streets, lurking in shadows and the cover of darkness. Their lust for blood is never sated, and the nights are filled with the screams of their victims.
I’m just a street rat, a trash picker. I didn’t expect him to choose me. The Prince of Elves could have anyone, so why me?
Even as my heart sings at the elf’s close proximity, I still love the boy who left me, disappearing into the city’s corrupt underworld. I don’t even know if he’s still alive.
Stars reign. Rebellion brews. And with my already uncertain future disintegrating into chaos, I don’t know who to turn to, or who to trust.

If you could be any kind of paranormal creature, what would you be and why?
If I could become any paranormal creature, it would have to be a shape-shifter. They’re kind of cool when you think about it. They’re human when they feel like it, but they can also tap into that animal side, which would be ridiculously convenient. If you were a dog shifter, you could hunt down your missing pair of heels, or keys. If you were a cat, you could shift into that form and pretend you weren’t home any time someone rang the doorbell. And, if you could shift into a bird, you could fly. You wouldn’t have to worry about traffic ever again—Unless you were a penguin shifter. I admittedly don’t see any perks to that one, unless you happen to live in a snowy place where you could slide around on your belly.
As for me, after giving this rather interesting question some thought, I decided I’d have to be one of two things: a raven, or a wolf. I like the idea of a raven cause they’re cool looking and they fly. They’re also great at making a ruckus, so I imagine I’d fit right in with them.
My first choice, however, would be a wolf. I’m married and I have children. I’m very protective of the kiddos, and I think it’d be beyond awesome to shift just for that extra bit of security if needed, you know? Plus, there’s something pretty majestic about wolves, so maybe some of that would rub off on me.
What paranormal creature would I be, realistically?
A basset hound shifter. I love to eat, sleep, and I make a lot of noise when I’m upset, but we’re not going to talk about that. Let’s stick with the wolf.

I'm puzzled by the plot as well- the depicted girl doesn't look all that pretty or special.
ReplyDeleteThis question was SO much fun!!! I had to laugh at her different examples because I'm pretty sure I would be down for a cat shifter when she puts it like that. Haha! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeletelove the guest post and i am always trying to figure this one out. i want immortality! a vampire would be really cool, but i have to be able to spend time outdoors, in the sun, in the pool, at the beach...i understand a ring will help with that, but, seeing they are fictional, i can make my vampire self be whatever i want. LOL
