Excerpt Tour and Giveaway: Until We Are Free (Until #1) by TM Blayte

Welcome to my stop on the excerpt tour for the YA science fiction novel Until We Are Free by TM Blayte organized by Goddess Fish Promotions. There's an exclusive excerpt for you to read as well as a tour wide giveaway for a $10 Amazon/Barnes & Noble gift card. Be sure to visit the other stops on the tour here for more exclusive excerpts!
Nyl Jayms is tasked with kidnaping the Elder princess, to force her brother, the king, to negotiate with humans. The alternative is a war that could lead to the annihilation of both humans and Elders.

A Rider Council faction, led by Nyl’s father, is opposed to any negotiations. They will do anything, including sabotaging his assignment, to trigger a war.

Nyl and his team have to outsmart the king’s elite Royal Guard, to get to the princess, and somehow stay one step ahead of the faction opposed to negotiations. Everyone will be forced to re-evaluate ideology they were raised with, as an impending war looms ever closer.

Join these elite teenage rebel warriors on a journey of war, betrayal, and political scheming, in Until We Are Free. In this debut novel from TM Blayte, faces of friends, family, allies and enemies will blur. Loyalties will be tested, until the determination to be free becomes the only thing that matters. After all, does one person’s freedom mean another person’s oppression?

I dodge to the side as Princess Kgaryn Castleworth comes at me again. She dives for the door, ready to jump out of a speeding car in the middle of traffic.

“No you don't!” I pull her back by the hair. She yelps. Not the manliest manoeuvre, but she doesn't give me time to regret it.

Princess Kgaryn puts up a hell of a fight, I have to give her that. Especially considering she is a royal brat, who probably had someone still dressing her at this age. Naturally, she is no match for my training. In a few seconds, I am lying on top of her, pinning her hands behind her neck. We are lying chest to chest, a very uncomfortable position, but I dare not shift.

“What do you want with me?” she gasps. I can smell something like strawberry and chocolate on her breath.

“Nothing,” I breathe. “We just enjoy snatching princesses for the fun of it.”

“You! It's you!”

Recognition flickers on her face, “Aren't you the kitchen assistant? Alex fired you last night.”

“Correct. Your dear brother fired me. Had to get another career. A guy has to make a living, Princess.”

“I got the security disabled!” Bongani says. “But I have only five minutes, or less. They know something is up. You guys screwed up.”

“Easy for you to say! Dammit girl!” Taking advantage of my distraction, she wraps her legs around me and moves. She is now on top of me, her hair in my face.

“Stun her Nyl!” Mira takes one of her violent turns. I don't know which girl in the car is going to kill me first today.

Feeling like a jerk, I punch the princess in her ribs, and she screams.

In another instant, I have her crouching on the car floor, arms pinned to my chest. We are both breathing hard.

“Are you enjoying the make out session or what? Stun her for crying out loud!”

“Mira, you think I'm enjoying this?”

“I so don't have time for this.”

Princess Kgaryn puts on another struggle, but I aim directly for her head this time.
