Blog Tour: Courting Carlyn by Melissa Chambers

Welcome to my stop on the Courting Carlyn by Melissa Chambers blog tour hosted by Chapter by Chapter. On my stop, I have a guest post regarding the author's, Melissa Chambers, regarding her teen crushes. Be sure to check out the rest of the tour here.
Vaughn Yarborough is ready to trade the fame and glory of the international junior pro tennis circuit for college and a more settled life. First stop: spearhead a summer camp for underprivileged kids. The girl who’s agreed to run it with him has Vaughn more intrigued by the minute, but with the strict no-fraternizing rules, he’s got to figure out how not to fall for her.

When the boy Carlyn Sadowski has crushed on for years asks her to work with him for the summer, she has to pinch herself. When his world-famed coach offers her training for free, she can’t believe her luck. He could actually help her follow in her mother’s footsteps by playing college tennis. But when she finds out the catch is she’s got to convince Vaughn to go pro, Carlyn will have to decide between her dreams and the boy currently stealing her heart.

About the Author:

Guest Post:

Who was your celeb crush as a teen? What about your non-celeb crush as a teen? What was he like?

Oh gosh, I’m blushing just from this question. Okay, celeb crush as a teen. This is totally going to age me, but oh my gosh, was I swoony for Keanu Reeves. Two of his movies came out in the same year: Point Break and My Own Private Idaho. I had a poster of the latter on my wall. It had him and River Phoenix together on it. *grasps heart* I soooo wish I still had that around somewhere! I haven’t seen that movie since then. I’ve gotta stream that.

Then Point Break was this huge blockbuster. Johnny Utah learning to surf, chasing bad guys, and falling in love with the damaged Tyler. (le sigh) Then Speed a few years later. Both of these movies hold up, by the way. I’ve seen them both recently. Not that I’m still crushing on him…of course.

Non-celeb crush as a teen? Okay, I’m going to dig deep here back to the eighth grade. My family used to go to the same resort at the beach every year, and when I got into middle school, I would run into the same boy there each year. He was soooo cute, and there was that mystery there. A boy who didn’t know how I was at home where I’d gone to school with the same set of boys since kindergarten. It’s kind of hard to suddenly find a boy attractive who you’ve known since you were five and saw picking their nose! So yeah, that boy. He was from a different state I knew nothing about, spoke with a really unique accent, and was all cool and mysterious. Plus, we were at the beach. Everything’s better at the beach!
